Conscious Parenting And Living A Zen Life With Hollywood Actress Teresa Palmer

(Subscribe on iTunes, Stitcher or TuneIn)

What could a Hollywood starlet possibly teach us about living a mindful, meditative life? Turns out, a lot!

Teresa Palmer and I met a few years ago through mutual friends, and it was definitely a case of ‘soul sistas at first sight’. You know when you’re in someone’s presence, and they make you feel like you’re the most important soul on the planet? Teresa does just that!

Not only is she a super successful Hollywood actress from major films such as Point Break, Hacksaw Ridge and Knight of Cups, Teresa is also a mama, wife and the founder and creator of Your Zen Life and Your Zen Mama. I am deeply grateful that I get to call this giving, loving, smart, supportive soul one of my sistas.

Teresa has built up a wealth of knowledge and wisdom on so many topics — from conscious parenting to self-care, to relationships and more. I can’t wait for you guys to learn from her today.

In this episode we chat about:

  • How she deals with industry pressure to look a certain way (17:52)
  • The daily rituals that keep her zen and sane in Hollywood (37:28)
  • Her best-ever relationships tips (47:13)
  • How she has learned to love her body (06:00)
  • Her biggest lessons from working in Hollywood (20:23)
  • How to consciously parent your children (29:45)
  • Plus so much more!

I'm only just beginning my self journey! Your book and inspiration has been what I have needed and what I was looking for. I just wanted to say I was working during the Christmas season just pasted. When I meet this beautiful lady with her young children, I was trying my hardest to cope with a retail job during the busiest season. This women made me feel so calm and collected she didn't rush me, she didn't belittle me while I was trying to find my way. She was geniouly a beautiful soul! It wasn't until this women had thanked me and left that the customer behind her told me who she was... I inspire to be like both of you women, not because of your fame or beauty but because of how you both make women feel... it comes from a place of love! And I hope I can be that person and mother.

Wow this was great! I've wanted to check out your podcast Melissa and this was the first one I was drawn to. I loved it! So much of it resonated with me. Myself and my husband are 6 months into parenthood and keen on much of the philosophies discussed. Also my husband is currently obsessed with Eckhart Tolle, and the Four Agreements is the top of my next-to-read list. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU both :-) xxxx <3

So grateful that I got to listen to this and gain the knowledge I did from this podcast and the resources that came with it. Thank you Melissa! I am a huge fan! I absolutely adored this podcast.
I've been on my uni break for at least 3 months now and I have really used this time to revitalise on the heavy year I had juggling friendships on college and balancing my uni work load.
I recently got back from Europe a couple of weeks ago where I reconnected with some special friends I have made in their exchange with Australia over 2 years ago. It was so rewarding and fulfilling and I have come back with this energy to pursue what I really want in life in relationships, health and self love.
This podcast resonated with me so much because for the last 3 years I have dealt with my mum being mentally unstable. It was such a shock that her life spiralled out of control because she was always the mother who was so strong, beautiful and empowering. It has been more than difficult watching that spark fade away from her but after this overseas journey and even listening to this podcast as a reflection I have truly come to terms with giving these people all my love when it is truly desired. There is nothing more I can do.
Loving all these podcasts Melissa! Continues to keep uplifting my soul and I don't feel so alone in this world. Xxx

This podcast is absolutely so amazing and so inspiring. I feel like I just did a mentoring class laying on my yoga mat. I feel so relaxed and light. Teresa really is such an angel. I love that she's so down to earth, and like me on a daily basis, leaves the house with no make up on, just being all natural. Such an amazing podcast Mel!

I love TP! She is so connected and genuine and I follow her Zen Mumma Insta (even though I don't have babies) Her pockets of wisdom are so down to earth and exactly how I would love to create a family. Yay for fellow Adelaide girl :) Thank you for having her on xx
