What if you could literally grow a new body — one that’s resistant to disease, can heal super fast, and that’s wired for energy and vitality?

According to today’s podcast guest, Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D., this isn't a crazy pipe dream… it’s 100% possible. And in this inspiring episode, he’s sharing the ancient shamanic healing secrets that can help us transform our health at a cellular level to create ultimate wellness.

Dr Alberto Villoldo is a medical anthropologist and best-selling author of 17 books. Dubbed the “Indiana Jones of the Spirit World” by the New York Times, he has studied the shamanic healing practices of the Amazon and Andes for over 30 years. He’s also the founder of the Four Winds Society and Light Body School, which trains certified energy medicine practitioners to combine ancient shamanic teachings with modern science.

This conversation blew me away. The long lost healing techniques Alberto describes are so powerful and make so much sense, and the way he combines them with cutting-edge nutrition and neuroscience to amplify them even further had me super excited to start experimenting.

So if you want to find out how to turn on your longevity genes, biohack your brain, and embrace the power of ancient shamanic healing, then press download and buckle up… this episode is for you!

In this episode we chat about:

  • His inspiring story and how he became a medical anthropologist and acclaimed shamanic teacher (05:40)
  • Why no one is older than 7 years old (09:36)
  • What is a shaman? (11:27)
  • The powerful plants that turn on your longevity genes (12:55)
  • What happens at age 35 that you need to be aware of (14:59)
  • How to detox your mind and brain (16:53)
  • What nobody realises about toxins in the body (and the best way to eliminate them) (20:50)
  • How to repair your brain in 6 weeks (and the 3 must-have supplements to help you do it) (23:35)
  • How to become a modern shaman (27:20)
  • How to combat candida (29:10)
  • Ancient shamanic healing secrets (35:05)
  • The unusual technique that enhances the impact of your probiotics (47:14)
  • Plus so much more!

      Melissa,

This is the best podcast I have ever heard. The one with Dr Shefali was right behind this one. We sprout our own broccoli seeds and are huge fan of sulforaphane, and I've only heard one other person talk about this, Dr. Rhonda Patrick, so that was very exciting. And I love the part where he told everyone how to properly use probiotics and to talk to them! Me and my husband have a group of friends and we're called the health nerds and I shared this podcast with all of them and made sure that they grabbed a pen so they could take a bunch of notes and apply all of these practices to their life right away! Yay!

Thank you for inspiring so many people to live a wonderful life!

I know you tell so many people that is, but today I'm saying it to you "You so totally Rock!

Really loved his honnest look at his addiction to working on himself and his acceptance of this. I see this in my self at times........Would love to read more .

Loved the show on "Grow a new body" .... my question is that there are so many companies supplying the supplements that he spoke about, for example zinc, B12, etc. is there one that is recommended so we can be sure that we are taking good quality supplements?

Oh my gosh one of my favourite episodes yet!!! So much valuable information! Love love loved this so much!!
      The 3 main pieces of wonderful wisdom I took away from this podcast were;
      1. The practice of talking to your probiotics - this makes SO much sense and I already do it with my kombucha scobies so I can’t believe this hasn’t occurred to me before!
      2. That the human body is such an infinitely intelligent and magnificent vessel and if we support it with the right foods, positive energy work and a healthy environment then it is capable of remarkable feats of healing and longevity
      3. That nature is SO abundant and generous and has provided us with so many healing tools and herbs (curcumin, resveratrol, sulphoraphane) to optimise our health and healing journey
      ✨✨✨

Sorry one more quick question- what was the detoxing acid he spoke about and where can I get that? Thankyou so much!

        • April 16, 2019

Hi Amy, Dr Villoldo's team said it was Alpha Lipoic Acid which is a great detox for the brain and liver. I hope that helps honey xx

Dear Melissa - your podcast gets funnier, sharper, and even more niche!
The arrival of a new podcast episode sends me into an ethical quandary: How do I get out of at least some of my obligations today to listen to this? I always recommend it to colleagues with the knowledge that my reputation is at stake. Your shows generate maximum buzz, blow our hair back, break boundaries, and turn ourselves into our TRUE selves ...
And Dr. Alberto Villoldo - well, he is just a pure ray of LIGHT! His words are different from most of what you’ll hear elsewhere BUT HEY so true to life! I really don't remember the last time I was so deeply touched by someone ....

      • April 5, 2019

Desi, thank you SO MUCH for your kind (and hilarious) words. I am so glad you loved the episode as much as I did. Isn't he magical?! Thanks for tuning in and I'll see you next week beautiful. xx

      April 5, 2019

Absolutely loved this episode thank you for sharing so many amazing takeaways. A quick question from the YouTube video on making the candida concoction at home. After everything is mixed do you literally leave the container sealed in the oven with the light on for two days or do you eventually take it out and leave at room temp and how long is it good for? Can not wait to try!

      • April 16, 2019

Hi Vickie, Dr Villoldo said the boulardii is ready after 2 to 3 days of fermenting then put it into the refrigerator. He said it will be good for the time you need to take it. I hope that helps xx

A wonderful episode, and a wake -up call to me. Like many of us, I knew some things, but SO much was explained so clearly. My take-aways -that almost all bacteria is our friend (and should be treated as such), that we really need to get the liver working (Mag, Zinc and B12) before we clear the junk stored around the brain, and the idea of making new prayers/affirmations every time instead of repeating the learned ones, because the old ones take us to the old brain and the old thoughts and habits.
I will be re-listening to this episode a few times more. Thanks for a wonderful podcast.

      • April 18, 2019

Pleasure Jenny. I am so glad you loved it and got so much out of it. Keep tuning in each week angel. xx
