Are you always tired? Do you get repeated breakouts? And is ‘that time of the month’ a complete pain in the behind?! Today’s podcast guest, the amazing Dr. Libby Weaver, wants to show you how to overcome all these issues, for good. And you can do it by honing in on one specific area: your hormones.

Dr. Libby Weaver (Ph.D.) is a leading nutritional biochemist, bestselling author, world-renowned speaker and founder of the plant-based supplement range, Bio Blends. With an honours degree in dietetics, a Ph.D. in biochemistry and over 20 years’ experience in clinical practice, she brings incredible scientific insight to the wellness arena, empowering people to rewrite their health story, rebalance their hormones and (finally!) experience vibrant energy.

Dr. Libby’s three-pronged approach to hormonal imbalance is unique — combining biochemistry, nutrition and emotions, to give you holistic strategies that seriously *work*. Every time I hear her speak, I’m blown away by her tips and insights, and have to rush away to write down all her suggestions!

So if you want to learn her biochemical secrets for radiant skin, perfectly balanced hormones, and bounce-out-of-bed energy, pop in those earbuds (and grab a notepad!), baby! This one’s for you!

In this episode we chat about:

  • How she got to where she is today (07:58)
  • The 3 pillars of health and happiness, and how they can take you from exhausted to energised (09:47)
  • How to work out if your hormones are out of whack (and her foolproof plan to rebalance them) (13:15)
  • The most common stressors that impact your health and happiness (19:14)
  • The true causes of acne (that nobody talks about) and how to clear it up — for good! (27:27)
  • Why it’s essential to nourish your mitochondria (and her epic secrets for boosting your energy) (34:40)
  • How to let go of comparison (41:04)
  • Why the inner work is just as important as the outer work (you’re gonna L.O.V.E. her take on this!) (45:02)
  • Plus so much more!

This episode really inspired me and has me reflecting on myself and how I can show up and live how that little voice inside my heart knows that I should be living. I have forever suffered from skin and hormone issues and am so inspired by holistic health/medicine and Dr Libby's explanation really helped me to fully understand the causes and factors of hormonal acne. I listened to this podcast during a beautiful walk outside and was inspired to do some deep breathing and yoga when I got home. Thankyou Melissa and Dr Libby for an amazing episode. Big hugs, Emily. X

Two angels together - double the awesome vibes!
I loved the simplicity of the 3 pillars and the insight into hormonal imbalance (I have to write all the snippets of technical stuff down to build my knowledge!). Also, I resonated with watching light change (I'm really feeling this right now , being in the UK, and the winter season approaching). Finally, I'm going to put together a playlist and start dancing around in the morning!! ....that one's down to you! xx

Awesome Jane. Have fun and tag me on Instagram when you have your dance off. xx
