I have a bit of a queery about sleep patterns! Listening to your podcast with Aubrey Marcus made me want to understand unusual sleep patterns more.
My partner is a firefight and has very extreme sleeping patterns. He does two 10hr day shifts and then two 14hr night shifts. on the night shift he may get a nap or a few hours of sleep but can be woken abruptly at any point to go to a call. This means he goes from being in a relaxed sleeping state to full speed high adrenaline very quickly. I worry about what this does to his body. I am just wondering if you or Audrey could give any advice on how to support this as much as possible on the days he has time to nap and sleep properly.
i am a Nutritionist and inspiring to get phd in Sexology. I would love to understand this not only for my partner but for my clients!

Meditation, meditation, meditation, get him into daily meditation as soon as possible. That will be his saving grace. Let me know how he goes after doing it for a few weeks. xx
he already meditates, however, does not do it daily. I know that since he has started meditating he feels more balanced throughout his day. I’ll tell him what you have suggested and encourage him to add some more space for meditation daily 🙂 Thank you kindly for your response! xx
