Hey, beautiful and [00:01:00] welcome back to the show. Today I’m gonna be sharing with you the success habits of the 1%. Now, one of the coolest perks of having a top rated podcast is getting to meet people who are usually out of reach. Now I’m talking about the absolute best of the best, the top 1% of achievers, the ones who have written the multiple New York Times bestselling books.
broken records and achieved mind blowing things. Now, after more than 500 conversations with these incredible people, I’ve picked up some game changing success habits that can completely transform the trajectory of your life. Now, today I’m sharing seven of the most powerful lessons that I have learned from these extraordinary one percenters.
So I have a question for you. Are you ready to unlock a level of success that you never imagined? Let’s [00:02:00] do this. Let’s jump right in. If you’re not driving, grab a pen and paper or take some notes in the notes section of your phone because you do not want to forget these, okay? So the seven surprising lessons from the top 1 percent that’ll help you achieve your wildest dreams.
Let’s do this. Okay, number one. Stop trying to be an A plus student. Write that down. Stop trying to be an A plus student. Too many people go through life like they are still in school, always trying to impress, doing what’s expected and trying to produce work that won’t get criticized. But this approach breeds caution, fear and perfectionism.
Now, high performers know that to achieve things that they have never done before, they need to take risks that they have never taken before. If you want something different, you’ve got to do something different. This is something that I say inside SheLaunch all the time. [00:03:00] Now, the top performers, on the other hand, they understand that to do something groundbreaking, they have to take risks that they have never taken before.
They understand this at a deep cellular level. And sometimes we forget it, right? So sure, like I just want to mention, not every risk leads to success. But for high achievers, it’s always worth it because they know that number one, taking risks is the only way to be exceptional. And number two, even if things don’t go to plan, they know that there will be valuable lessons.
There will be gold and insights to take from the experience that will set them up for success next time, right? So that is the first one. Stop trying to be an A plus student. Alright, number two, focus on value, not validation. Okay, so, the most successful people aren’t driven by applause. but by [00:04:00] the value they create.
They focus on the impact of their work, not the accolades. So this one mindset shift alone can be a complete game changer, especially if you are an entrepreneur or a creative. Okay. So that’s number two, focus on value, not validation. How can I offer the most value to my clients? To my friends, to my team, to my children, to my social media following, how can I offer the most value and not seek validation, right?
Value, value, value. Okay, number three, they seek out discomfort. So the top 1 percent deliberately put themselves in uncomfortable situations. They understand that growth happens at the edge of your comfort zone. And then it also happens when you’re on the [00:05:00] other side, right? But it doesn’t happen when you’re sitting back and not taking risks outside of your comfort zone.
So whether it is public speaking or learning a new skill or exploring unfamiliar territory, They seek out that discomfort as a catalyst for personal and professional development. And this is something that I am actively working on all the time to put myself in uncomfortable situations, to get outside my comfort zone.
And if you’re not doing this actively, weekly, even daily, then you will never grow to your full potential. Okay. That’s number three. Seek out discomfort. Number four, nurture relationships. Success isn’t a solo journey. The top 1 percent invest in their relationships. They understand the power of networking, of mentorships, and of collaboration.
They know [00:06:00] that surrounding themselves with like minded individuals accelerates their growth and opens up new opportunities. So if you are one of those people that don’t invest in your relationships, now is the time. Now is the time. Get clear on who you want to invest more time and energy into. and pour more into those.
Yeah. So that is number four, nurture your relationships. Number five, prioritize your health and wellbeing. Your health is your wealth. I say this inside SheLaunch all the time. You are your biggest asset and high performers prioritize their physical and mental health. They understand that a thriving body and mind are essential for sustained success.
So. They take self care, exercise, and mindfulness as seriously as they take their work. Trust me, these [00:07:00] people that I’m interviewing all take their health very, very seriously because they know that If they don’t have their health, they don’t have anything. They know that they are their best, biggest, most important asset, my friend.
So number five, prioritize your health and your well being. If you’re not already doing this, now is the time. Now is the time to start. Okay. Let’s move to number six. Number six is set audacious goals. So the top 1 percent don’t shy away from setting big audacious goals. They understand that aiming high propels them further, even if they fall short.
If they don’t beat themselves up and tear themselves down, they literally keep going until they achieve that thing. So these goals act as a powerful motivator. Pushing them to stretch themselves to innovate and to achieve extraordinary results. So I’m [00:08:00] literally looking at my vision board behind my computer right now.
It’s right behind my computer. And there are some incredibly big audacious goals on there that I created this vision board in January this year. And these are some of the things that I wanted to hit. Now, I may not hit them, but that’s okay. I need to have these big audacious goals so that I know where I’m heading.
I know what my goal is. And if you fall a little bit short, it doesn’t matter, but you’ve got to set these big audacious goals. That is what the 1 percent do. Okay? So that’s number six, set audacious goals. Number seven, the final one, practice radical honesty with yourself. Exceptionally successful people practice radical honesty, both with themselves and others.
Now this means having the courage to face and speak the truth even [00:09:00] when it feels uncomfortable. Yeah, and we’ve all been there. We’ve all been there. Now this approach fosters trust, clears confusion, and can lead to significant breakthroughs in personal growth and relationships. Yeah? So, that is the seventh one.
Practice radical honesty with yourself and with others. Now, these seven secrets from the top 1 percent are more than just tips. They are a blueprint for a successful and fulfilling life. Now, I’m just going to recap them. Let’s go back. We’ve got number one, stop trying to be an A plus student. Number two, focus on value, not validation.
Number three, seek out discomfort. Number four, nurture your relationships. Number five, prioritize your health and wellbeing. Number six, set audacious goals. And number seven, practice radical honesty with yourself and others. Integrating these habits and mindset shifts into [00:10:00] your daily routine. can propel you towards your wildest dreams and beyond.
Yes. So remember that success isn’t just about reaching the top. It’s about the journey and the growth. Yes. So take these lessons and run with them, make bold moves and learn from every step and watch as doors open in ways that you could never have imagined, my friend, never could have imagined. So, I hope you got a lot out of this.
