Every entrepreneur goes through periods where they feel disconnected from or fall out of love with their business.
It’s a common struggle that sneaks up on even the best of us, even if it’s not talked about very often.
Over my 13+ years working with women entrepreneurs, I’ve seen this happen time and again — and I’ve even been there myself too.
It can be hard to know what to do when you’re in that headspace — Should you keep pushing forward anyway? Call it quits? Bury your head in the sand and hope things get better?!
If you relate to any of this, there’s the good news: it’s entirely possible to rekindle that spark and fall back in love with your business.
In this episode we chat about:
- The first step to reigniting your business mojo (2:11)
- The life-changing magic of delegating tasks you don’t love (3:37)
- How to set goals that excite you (4:59)
- Why it’s crucial to have a support network — and how to find your people (6:18)
- How to put yourself back on your priorities list (7:55)

Your own life and become the best version of yourself possible. Are you ready? Beautiful. Beautiful.
Hey, beautiful. Welcome back to the show. I’m so excited about this episode because this is the answer to a question that I got in my dms a couple of weeks ago. It was from a beautiful girl and she was asking, how can I fall back in love with my business? I have fallen [00:01:00] out of love with it. How can I fall back in love with it?
So if that is you, you are gonna love this episode because let’s be honest, every entrepreneur goes through periods where they feel disconnected from their business. I have definitely been there. It’s a common struggle that sneaks up on even the best of us, even if it’s not talked about very often. Now I started my business in 2011.
I started working with women entrepreneurs, and I have seen this happen time and time again. And like I said, yes, it has happened to me too, and it can be hard to know what to do when you’re in that head space. Should I keep moving forward? Should I call it quits? Should I bury my head in the sand and hope that things just get better?
If you have had any of those thoughts, I’ve got you, babe. Now, if you can relate to any of this, if you’ve had any of those thoughts, I have got you. And there is good news. It’s entirely possible to rekindle that spark and fall back in [00:02:00] love with your business, and I’m gonna share exactly how to do that.
I’ve got five ways that you can do that. So let’s get started. How do we fall back in love with our business? Number one, reconnect with your why. Let’s start with the lowest hanging fruit here. Your why. Why do you do what you do? Think back to that moment that you decided to start your business. What excited you?
What were you passionate about? I. Now over time, it’s easy to lose sight of these things, amids, the daily grind. But sometimes this simple reminder can be enough to get you back on track. So I’ve got an action step for you. I want you to take a moment to reflect on your original motivations for starting your business.
Write them down and stick them up somewhere highly visible. You might even like to add it to your vision board because seeing that reminder of your why can help your brain and your body remember the passion that you once had at the very start. It [00:03:00] can help your body and your brain remember and tap into that passion that you had at the very start.
And this is what I get all of my she launch clients to do, is I get them to identify their why at the very start of their journey. Because if you have a strong why procrastination, it doesn’t exist. Lack of motivation does not exist. When you have a strong why, all those things go away. Because you are so connected with why it is you are doing what you do.
So write it on a post-it note. Add it to your vision board, stick it somewhere where you can see it and be reminded of it every single day. Okay? Number two, delegate tasks that drain you. If you have been resisting delegating, now is the time to start. Because sometimes that I can’t stand, my business feeling is simply due to your day being stacked with tasks that you don’t enjoy, that aren’t your zone of genius.
And I promise you, there is nothing more energizing than saying a satisfying See [00:04:00] you to those tasks so that you can get back to doing what you love and what you are good at. So your action step here is to delegate, and if you’re not sure where to start when it comes to delegation, begin by making a list of all of the tasks that you handle regularly that involve an element of repetition or that can be systematized.
If any of these tasks drain, you start delegating them ASAP, and the next time you do those tasks, this is what I want you to do. I want you to film your screen as you go. I use a plugin called Loom for this, and it’s free and it’s amazing and you narrate your actions. It’s so good. I do this for any repetitive tasks, and then you create an evergreen resource that can now be used to train someone else to take over that draining task for you.
It is a game changer. So that is number two, delegate tasks that don’t light you up, that aren’t your zone of genius, that don’t bring you joy. Delegate, delegate, delegate. Number [00:05:00] three, set new goals that excite you. If you’ve been in business for a while like I have, there’s a good chance that you’ve settled into your comfort zone where you no longer feel challenged.
And sure, this might feel safe and easy, but it can also lead to feelings of stuckness and stagnation. The fix for this is simple. Let yourself dream big. I know it sounds cliche, but take a moment to really, truly think about this question. What would you do in your business if you knew you couldn’t fail?
I don’t want you to censor yourself here. Don’t let your inner mean girl tell you that it’s not possible, and just let yourself marinate in that divine energy of possibility and potential. And so your action step here is when you land on a dream that you want to turn into reality, I want you. To write it down as one of your big goals, put it on your vision board and start taking daily action every [00:06:00] single day.
One step forward. One step forward. What do you have to do to inch yourself a teeny tiny step forward toward that goal? Send an email, register the domain, whatever it is, do that each day. So that’s number three. Set new goals that excite you. Number four, connect with other entrepreneurs. Running a business can feel lonely, especially if you work alone from home like I do.
But connection is such a good remedy for this, and I cannot tell you the number of times that I have felt overwhelmed or uninspired by a business project. And then I’ve gotten on a call with one of my mastermind girls, or I’ve gone for lunch with one of my business besties and suddenly felt completely re-energized.
This is one of the reasons why I created SHE Launch. It is such a beautiful community of female entrepreneurs. So if you wanna join us, come and head to she launch.com. If you are looking for your business besties for other female entrepreneurs who are in the [00:07:00] same space as you, then come and join us. It is so important to have others that you can reach out to who understand what it’s like to be an entrepreneur and who can provide support and inspiration.
And that’s exactly what we do inside She Launch. So come and check it out. If you’ve already got a good circle around you, reach out to them, organize a catch up, whether it’s in real life or a coconut water over zoom, just do it. And if you don’t have a support system, take a look at networking events, workshops, or webinars being held in your area.
And if you prefer the online route, sign up for a business focus message board, online community or mastermind group. Like I mentioned before, she launch is always here for you too. If you wanna join a group of gorgeous women entrepreneurs who are absolute rock stars and legends, and some of my favorite people on this earth.
So that is number four, connect with other entrepreneurs, and number five, prioritize your self care. Burnout is a [00:08:00] real issue for so many entrepreneurs, and I honestly, I don’t subscribe to it anymore. Like if it is going to lead to burnout, I am not partaking in it. And if you are always working and you are never taking time for yourself, it’s no wonder that you might feel disconnected from your business, and that is not the way to do business or to call in your dream clients.
Your dream clients and dream opportunities are waiting for you to become the woman to receive them. Okay? So it starts with you. Okay? You have to put yourself back on your priority list. You have to become devoted to yourself first. Okay? A self-led woman is devoted to herself. Yes, she’s devoted to her work.
She’s devoted to her children, but she’s devoted first and foremost to herself. So answer these questions. What would feel the most nourishing to me right now? What can I say no to this week? How can I [00:09:00] reclaim time for myself today? What is my soul craving right now and how can I honor myself in this moment?
When you are devoted to yourself, well-rested and relaxed, you bring so much more energy and enthusiasm to your work. You become a magnet for your dream clients and opportunities. The opportunities that you want. And this might sound different for a lot of you, but it is absolutely true. Time spent away from your computer and phone devoted to yourself is the most productive thing that you can do for your business.
You have to become the woman that calls in, that magnetizes, that energy of abundance. It starts with you. Okay, so let’s recap. These are the five ways to fall back in love with your business. Write it down on a post-it note, stick it on your computer and don’t forget these. So this is number one. Reconnect with your why.[00:10:00]
Number two, delegate tasks that drain you. Number three, set new goals that excite you and light you up. Number four, connect with other incredible entrepreneurs. I like to call them expanders. Surround yourself with those people in real life and online. And number five, prioritize yourself. Become devoted to yourself.
Feeling disconnected from your business isn’t a signal to quit. It is a call to action. It’s your chance to pause, reflect, and realign with what truly sets your heart on fire. Remember your business. It’s a reflection of you. By prioritizing yourself and aligning your business with your passions and strengths, you can find that love and excitement again.
So take a step back, make those five changes. Your business deserves it. You deserve it. You really do have the power to fall in love with your business all over again. I believe in [00:11:00] you. The world needs your magic. You are a lightworker. The work that you are doing in the world matters. Please don’t forget that the world needs your magic, your heart, your message, your vision.
Don’t forget that beautiful.
